The Wentworth Condos: Spacious Family-Friendly Accommodations #90DayRoadTrip #travel

If you've never visited the Mt. Washington Valley and marveled at the towering White Mountains of New Hampshire, then you are missing out on an incredible family vacation full of outdoor adventure. On our recent visit there as part of the #90DayRoadTrip, the boys and I had a tremendous amount of fun, including the day we were rained in. Why? Because we had perhaps the best accommodations possible for our family of 5, a three bedroom condo at The Wentworth.

About The Wentworth

Nestled in the historic village of Jackson, NH., the Wentworth is an icon of the bygone days of New England Innkeeping. With a rich history, and prime location to all of the Mt. Washington Valley attractions, it is the ideal choice for those looking for peace and serenity that is still close to the fun.

Initially constructed in 1869 as a wedding gift for his daughter and son-in-law, Joshua Trickey created a building that has stood as an iconic representation of a time long past. Now updated with modern amenities, you can still hear the whispers of the past as you walk into the elegant lobby of the Wentworth. The Wentworth now offers a wide range of accommodation options. From rooms in the main inn, to cottages and two or three bedroom condos, there is something to meet every traveler's needs.

Our Condo

We stayed in condo 9c during our visit to The Wentworth, and we were delighted from the moment we walked in the door. You have to keep in mind that at that point we had been staying in a mixture of hotel rooms and campgrounds for over 60 days, and it was an incredible gift to be able to stretch out, claim our own space and have easy access to amenities like a full kitchen and laundry room.

The three bedroom condo at The Wentworth had even more room than we had expected. There were three levels of living space. The main floor on ground level had a large dining room, full kitchen, expansive living room area and a half bathroom.

Downstairs, there were two full bedrooms, one with two sets of bunk beds and another with a large bed. There was also a living area downstairs with a desk and television, a full bathroom and a washer and dryer in the downstairs closet.

Upstairs on the top level, there was a spectacular view of the golf course and surrounding mountains, as well as a large bedroom, full bathroom and seating area.

While there was no A/C in our condo at The Wentworth, there was heat as well as a fireplace, but even in the middle of Summer, we would open the windows and the house was kept cool enough all day long. The condo provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including all of the amenities that a hotel would such as bedding, towels, soap etc.

There were games for the boys to play, and enough room to spread out so that there was no arguing over space. It truly was the perfect option for those like us who want to be comfortable, but still close to area attractions.

Dining

While we chose to make all of our meals in our condo kitchen, The Wentworth does have an incredible dining room that offers a full range of breakfast and dinner menu items each day. Special rates are available for meals for those staying at the hotel, and that information is provided to guests when they check in.
