Do You Know What Doing Laundry on a #90DayRoadTrip is Like? - Pass the #Sanewich

The first year I had the idea to take four boys on a lengthy cross-country road trip alone, the thought almost terrified me. Then I tried it, liked it, and we have been doing it every year since. This year is a #90DayRoadTrip. Now, trips of this length, especially with four boys, have their ups and downs. For starters, any four children alone together this long can and absolutely will fight. About everything, including what is on their side of the road when you are driving in the car. However, the absolute craziest thing to handle on a lengthy road trip with kids is the dreaded laundry.

I hate laundry on a day at home. The endless piles of it that come as a result of having four boys. On the road though? It is a million times worse. First, I only let the boys bring a week's worth of clothing on our trip because we have limited space, so that means that we need to do laundry at least every few days. No biggie right? First you have to find change so you have quarters to put in the machine, because you aren't at home. Remember? Then you have to go on a dirty sock hunt in the van, because inveritably, those dang socks jump out of the diry clothes bag and roll all around. Just look at them when we mined for diamonds in Arkansa. You know that dirt didn't get itself out.

Once I have located all stinky socks, gotten change and scrounged up some detergent, it is on the hunt for a laundry room. Sometimes we are at a hotel, and it is a matter of catching the room at just the exact moment, when one of only two washers for the whole hotel aren't taken. Other times, it is driving around in circles in a town you don't know trying to find a laundrymat to sit at with four boys for two hours. Fun, right? Oscar Mayer knows what's up though. In fun, they recently sent me my HORRORscope Tarot card to show me what was in my future. Can you guess? Yep, more laundry.

Oscar Mayer gets it. They know that so many things in life are unneccesarily complicated, but making a great tasting sandwich shouldn't have to be. That is the idea behind the #Sanewich. Even when things are crazy and complicated, you can always turn to Oscar Mayer Deli Fresh products to help you make a sanity-saving sandwich. I have to say, after sitting down to that delicous Tasty Toasted Turkey Sub, I did feel much better about my laundry situation. Even if  I was still stuck in a laundry room far from home.
