5 Reasons You Should Book Your Stay with Florida Superior Small Lodging Association + #Giveaway
4:44 PMLast November I had the opportunity to stay at a few different hotels that were part of the Florida Superior Small Lodging Association. I had no idea that this Association even existed before our two week adventure in the Fall, but let me tell you, it is one of Florida's best kept secrets. Each of our stays at the three different Florida Superior Small Lodging Association member hotels we stayed at were uniquely different , but all provided the same great benefits and personalized feel. Check out this list of reasons why I suggest you book your stay with Florida Superior Small Lodging Association members, and don't forget to enter for a chance to win an Amazon gift card!
1. Your Not Just Another Face
All of the member resorts and hotels in the Florida Superior Small Lodging Association have a maximum of 50 rooms. What does that mean for you? More attention to your needs as a guest, and it ensures that you are not just another face in an endless sea of guests. We were called by name, and often asked how our stay could be made more comfortable. It felt like coming home each time we returned to the hotel.
2. High Cleanliness Standards
While the hotels and resorts that are part of the Florida Superior Small Lodging Association are often older establishments, they do not sacrifice cleanliness. They have high standards of cleanliness, and all members must undergo a random "white glove" inspection of over 100 points in their hotel rooms in order to pass and remain members. What does this mean for you? No worries of dirty rooms with dingy sheets, you can book these privately owned smaller hotels without wondering whether the room you walk into with be clean or not.
3. Enjoy the Extras
Many of the resorts and hotels that are members of the Florida Superior Small Lodging Association offer extras that you aren't likely to find at their big chain hotel counterparts. From free to use beach and pool toys, beach chairs, use of grills and so much more, these smaller establishments offer a wide range of extras that help make your stay extra special and more affordable.
4. The Chance to Support a Small Business
Perhaps one of the most important reasons for me suggesting you book your next stay in Florida at a hotel or resort that is part of the Florida Superior Small Lodging Association that you are given an incredible chance to help support a small business. The big guys have more than enough support to keep them going, but these smaller gems that are so much a part of the history of the area need your support. Having the chance to support local small businesses while having an incredible vacation is a win-win.
5. Location, Location, Location
If you are looking to book a room with a killer location, the Florida Superior Small Lodging Association has you covered. All three of the hotels that we had the chance to stay at had amazing locations. Tuckaway Shores and The Plaza Beach Resort were literally on the beach, just steps from the water with a gorgeous view of the ocean/gulf right outside your hotel room door. Ebb Tide was a quaint little place with an enormous suite that overlooked the Marina. Just a few blocks from the beach, we were within walking distance, and the boys loved the fishing dock that extended into the Marina from right outside our door.
Traveling to Florida with your family this Spring or Summer? I urge you to check out the Florida Superior Small Lodging Associations website and see what they have available in the area. With 150 member establishments sprinkled throughout 43 Florida destinations, there is an available option almost anywhere you would want to go!

I would certainly consider it as I love smaller facilities as I avoid crowds. Love to try the small lodging association. I didn't know they had such a thing.
ReplyDeleteI like the locations of some of the hotels. Key West is my fav!
ReplyDeleteThis is the first I 've ever heard of this. This is wonderful. Smaller establishments tend to go beyond your expectations and the atmosphere would be more comfortable I think. I'd deinitely love to stay in one of these. I'm going to look into it and pass it on to my older children who frequently visit Florida. Thank you for the post & info.
