Hallmark Hall of Fame movies have always been a big hit in my household. Hallmark has been producing family-friendly favorites for more than 60 years, and I love that they are safe for the whole family. I can tell you, it seems like the older I get, the more inappropriate things supposedly made for children look. With movies made by the Hallmark Hall of Fame, I never have to worry about watching the movies with my children without screening them first. Away & Back, the latest Hallmark Hall of Fame release is no exception.

About Away & Back

In the movie Away & Back, a family of swans unexpectedly makes their home on the Peterson Farm, where 10-year-old Frankie (Maggie Elizabeth Jones) daughter to the widowed Jack (Jason Lee) takes to them immediately, as they remind her of stories read to her by her mother who passed. Ginny Newsom (Minka Kelly), a no-nonsense ornithologist shows up to "save" the swans, and finds conflict with Jack. Frankie and her brothers are anything but casual observers as they watch the hostility that initially comes up between their father Jack and the know-it-all Ginny, but eventually that hostility turns into something else.

I love the main actors in this movie, so for me, that makes it a must watch. Jason Lee and Minka Kelly have played in so many other movies I have enjoyed, and Maggie Elizabeth Jones is just adorable. You can check out the trailer in this post to learn more about Away & Back, but it definitely looks like a must watch for the boys and I.

Away & Back will premier on the Hallmark Channel on Sunday, January 25 at 8/7 Central. Be sure to tune in so you don't miss it!
