New ShadowCast Rings by Jostens - Add a New Twist to a High School Tradition

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Jostens for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

There are some things that are just a right of passage in high school, and choosing your class ring is one of them. I can still remember how excited I was to pick mine out and customize it. It was by far the most expensive and elaborate piece of jewelry I had owned up until that point, and I felt like such a boss with it on my finger when it finally came in. When I started homeschooling Joshua my oldest, he was afraid he would miss on popular school rituals like this, but now thanks to Jostens ShadowCast Rings, he sees how easy it is to create and customize his own class ring alone or even with a group of homeschool friends.

Joshua has begun his 9th grade level work, and it won't be long until he his graduating and moving on to college. To have some fun and give him a taste of what it will be like, I let him go to Jostens.com and customize his own class ring. The fun part is, aside from all of the many options they have available on their site, he has an added bonus. He can choose any school mascot he wants since he his homeschooled! In fact, Jostens has a whole section dedicated to meeting the needs of homeschooled students.

For fun, we headed over to the Jostens' site the other day to let Joshua customize his own class ring. He had been dying to see the new Jostens ShadowCast Rings. He of course had to go for a ring with some bling, so he chose the Jostens Sheer Ice ring. I love how easy the whole customization and selection process is. They walk you through each step, and there are a wide range of customizations to choose from, from what goes on the side of your ring to the finish and even engraving options for the inside of the band. If your child is in sports, academic teams or has another favorite hobby, chances are they have it on the Jostens site.

For the sides of his Jostens Sheer Ice Ring, Joshua chose and American Eagle and a saxophone for the other side since he plays the sax. He also went with the Shadowcast finish on the ring. This is a unique new trend that can be added as a finish to Jostens line of rings. It gives a dark appearance to the ring like a shadow that really makes the stone pop.

If you have a child who is in high school, it is never too early to start planning for this fun tradition. Head on over to Jostens.com, and let me know what ring is your favorite! Don't forget to check out the wide range of ShadowCast rings by Jostens.

  6. My high school ring was stolen in a break in when I was in college. Class rings are a HUGE deal to me- and these are beautiful! I cannot wait (BUT I CAN) for my daughters to choose their own !

  9. Things have changed so much from when I was in high school. Back then, we didn't order our senior rings until near the end of 11th grade. And there was just a couple of designs to choose from. I never graduated, so I did not get a ring, but my daughters bought me a high school ring when I got my GED in the late 80's.
