The Room
Although we were only in town for two nights we hoped to enjoy as much of Charlottesville as possible during our stay. That meant maximizing our time. It took only minutes to check in and start getting settled in our room. We had a standard room with two queen beds as well as a cozy corner with a sleeper sofa. This is a great option for larger families like ours, so that you can save from the added expense of two rooms, but still have plenty of space.
The room was equipped with plenty of electrical outlets, which I appreciated while being on such a long road trip. I always had plenty of do dads to charge. Other in room amenities include free Wi-Fi, 42" flat screen HDTV, coffee maker and mini fridge.
The "Cozy Corner" which was a sectional sofa by day perfect for sitting as a family during afternoon breaks, was a sleeper sofa at night, providing extra bedding options for the kids. The bedding was really comfy too, something I always look for since my bed at home is so wonderful!

The hotel also has a nice indoor pool that we sadly never got to take advantage of, as well as a fitness and business center. There is a small cafe area downstairs by the registration desk that has delightful and delicious desserts in the evening. You can also order light meal options from here or your room during the day, and there is a bar area too. The cupcakes here are divine!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Place in Charlottesville. It may not have all the extra bells and whistles of a luxury resort, but it is a great budget friendly option with plenty of extra perks for those traveling on business or with their families. Their prices are affordable, especially for larger families who can fit into one room. If you are looking to book a stay, visit the Hyatt Place Charlottesville website for current rates and promotions.

ReplyDeleteI was just in Virginia Beach last weekend - it was great. Such a beautiful state. That desk is awesome - I could get SO much work done there!!
ReplyDeleteI love how spacious the room is and the bathroom! I also love me a good indoor pool! Looks like a great place to stay!
ReplyDeleteTrying to fit a family of 5 into a regular hotel room is impossible! But the kids just aren't old enough to be alone. Normally we have to pay extra for a suite. Your room looks just perfect though with the sleeper couch. We don't have any vacations planned right now, but when we do I'll be looking at Hyatts.
ReplyDeleteNow that's my kind of room, looks so cozy.
ReplyDeleteLove the minimalist look. I'm sure it helped you unwind in the evening. The breakfast sandwiches are a big plus, yum. I wish I was staying there right now.
