DIY Painted Wall Accent with FrogTape® #PaintOnTextures

This post brought to you by FrogTape. All opinions are 100% mine.

Recently, I wanted to spruce up a wall in our bedroom. A while back, we had purchased some oops paint at a great discount, but it was a light grey color and left our room feeling a little plain. We needed some color to brighten things up. I wanted to add some painted accents to the wall, but it is a textured wall, which makes getting crisp lines hard. That is where Textured Surface by FrogTape came in. With this product, a few containers of sample paint color and a paintbrush, I had a beautiful painted accent in no time.

How To Get Sharp Paint Lines on a Textured Surface

Our walls have always had a texture to them, and it can be hard to get sharp clean lines when painting them. FrogTape® Textured Surface features revolutionary PaintBlock Technology that reacts with water to seal the edges of the tape and prevent paint bleed. Pair this great tape with FrogTape® Liquid PaintBlock Edge Sealer applied to the edges of the tape, and you get sharp clean lines every time.

DIY Painted Wall Accent

Materials:

  • FrogTape® Textured Surface Sharp Paint Line Solution Kit
  • 2 coordinating colors of wall paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Wet cloth
Instructions:
Step 1: Map out where you want your accent. Create a square or rectangle frame with the FrogTape® Textured Surface tape, and then add the tape to the inside as well to create the design you like.

Step 2: Use your fingernail or other hard flat surface to burnish the edges of the tape well.

Step 3: With a damp cloth, go over the edges of the FrogTape® Textured Surface tape to activate the PaintBlock technology.

Step 4: Use the FrogTape® Liquid PaintBlock Edge Sealer on the edges of the tape around the entire wall accent shape you have marked out. Wait 15 minutes for this to dry before moving to the next step.

Step 5: Paint the different sections of your design in coordinating colors. Let dry completely between coats.

Step 6: Once dry, peel off the FrogTape® Textured Surface tape and enjoy your new painted wall accent.
