I was provided with a complimentary stay at Quail Lodge as part of a Monterey County FAM trip, but all words and opinions are my own. 

 Tucked away in the Carmel Valley under the watchful eye of the surrounding rolling hills of green, is the Quail Lodge & Golf Club. This lodge is the perfect peaceful retreat for those seeking luxury at an affordable price. The vine laden archways, bushes full of flowers in bloom, and gorgeous backdrop of the surrounding area, sets the relaxed and secluded vibe this resort offers guests. This sprawling 850 acre resort features lakes, wandering trails, and a championship 18-hole golf course designed by Robert Muir Graves. The best thing about this resort though, is not it's 92 comfortable bungalows, championship golf course or sprawling grounds full of flowers, it's the price. Priced far below other high-end resorts in the area, you get the same amazing experience at a value price.






Quail Lodge Rooms


The 77 rooms and 14 suites at Quail Lodge are done in an old "California Ranch Design," and give off a warm, rustic feel that instantly makes you feel at home. The vaulted ceiling in my room opened it up immensely, and gave it a traditional ranch home vibe that went perfectly with the rest of the decor. The deep soaking tub in the bathroom and large balcony with a beautiful view of the surrounding grounds were among my favorite features. A secluded seating nook in the corner provides an ideal place to work, enjoy a morning cup of coffee, or just relax with friends or family.


Amenities at Quail Lodge


Quail Lodge & Golf Club has many of the amenities you would expect to find in a high-end resort, such as a complimentary continental breakfast, high-speed wi-fi Internet access and complimentary tea and coffee in the guest rooms. Additional amenities available for a fee include laundry or dry cleaning services, baby sitting services, pet sitting services and bicycle rentals.






In addition to the above amenities, Quail Lodge features putting greens, tennis courts, a heated pool, a bocce ball court and fitness centers. The championship 18-hole golf course is a great retreat for visiting golf enthusiasts, and the Golf Club restaurant Edgar's located on the edge of the course provides a delicious meal. The shrimp tacos I had there for lunch were the best I have ever had. Love adventure? Quail Lodge offers Land Rover adventures of the surrounding area too.

    Gorgeous property! I hope to get the chance to visit and stay there one day soon. I love that there's a heated pool since it's often cold in Monterey/Carmel.

    This place really tempted me to play golf. I've only golfed twice in my life, but it was too scenic there. Miss that place. =) and that first photo = brilliant!

    I like that you get free Wi-Fi included, many of the resorts these days make you pay a daily fee to get Wi-Fi :(
