A Family of Five's Final Opinion of the 2014 Toyota Sienna #SiennaDiaries

The 2014 Toyota Sienna is the perfect #familytravel vehicle. Come see why! #travel #SiennaDiaries

I participated in the #SiennaDiaries blogger program, but all opinions are my own.

We had the pleasure of driving a 2014 Toyota Sienna for a few months as part of the #SiennaDiaries blogging program. As someone who has never owned a brand new vehicle, it was quite a treat, and honestly, our family is still in mourning a bit after giving it back. I find myself missing features that the Sienna had, and even reaching out to use them every so often, like the buttons you could press to easily open the back doors, or the radio controls on the steering wheel. Little features like this made the Sienna a dream to drive.

My Family's Favorite Features

As a means of closing out my participation in this amazing campaign, I thought it would be fun to have the kids all show you their favorite features. When we were discussing it, I found it funny that each of my four children had a different thing that they loved most about the 2014 Toyota Sienna, so I wanted to share them.

The 13 Year Old

My 13 year-old is going on 30 of course, and feels that he is far too old to sit in the backseat like a "baby." Therefore, he usually occupies the front passenger seat. Since he does not usually take advantage of the entertainment center in the back, he had to find other features to love. We had the Sienna over our Florida winter weather, and I was surprised that my oldests' favorite feature was the seat warmers. So, there you go, apparently teenagers like having a toasty bum.

The 12 Year Old

My 12 year old does not share the phobia of the backseat with my oldest, so you could usually find him in the center of the van doing what he does best, being quiet. As you can tell by the photo, he is in the "Please don't take my photo stage," but he managed a bit of a smile. His favorite feature of the 2014 Toyota Sienna was the reclining seats in the second row. These are awesome. The have a footrest so you can kick back and relax while riding in comfort.

The 10 Year Old

My 10 year old is a bundle of energy, so he is the one I worry about most when we go on road trips. In the Sienna, trips were a breeze though, because the entertainment center kept them all quiet and entertained. My 10 year old went with the obvious favorite feature of a child, and said the built in entertainment center was his favorite. I love the wider screen that this system offered, and wish there was one in old Bob the Van.

The 8 Year Old

My 8 year old is obsessed with cars. He can tell you what make and model a car is just by looking at it on the street. He owns over 600 Matchbox cars! So, it was no surprise to me when he said his favorite feature of the Toyota Sienna was the whole outside of the van. He loves the way it looks, and I have to admit, it is a pretty nice looking ride.

What About Mom?

There are at least 10 features that I could rattle off that I love about the 2014 Toyota Sienna, from the curtain airbag system, to the amazing openness of the design, but in the end, there is very little I dislike about the Sienna. In fact, the navigation system is probably it's only fault in my book, it just isn't as precise as I would like. That said, it is too hard to go with one individual favorite feature, so I choose the entire front command center of the vehicle. With just a tap of the finger, I was within arm's reach of anything I needed to control or do in the van. Honestly, the design is amazing!

In the end, we thoroughly enjoyed our time with the 2014 Toyota Sienna. It was safe, comfortable and drove like a dream. If we were able to purchase a new vehicle right now, this would likely be it, I have never found a vehicle that I have enjoyed driving more, and it was a pleasure to be part of this campaign.

  17. I love how you got your kids' opinions and shared them. Our daughter loves driving in my CR-V but dislikes my husband's Jetta - so they do have opinions even as passengers, LOL! And reclining seats? Yes Please, I think I would hand over the keys to any licensed drivers if I could sit in one of those instead :)
