#ImBornTo Camp - Product Picks for the Camping Obsessed

7:00 AM

This post is brought to you through a partnership with Ebay, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

As each day until our 70 day summer camping adventure creeps by, I find myself getting a little more impatient. I love being out in nature, discovering our nation's beauty hands-on, and the adventure of exploring new places. As part of Ebay's Curate for a Cause sweepstakes, I created an Ebay collection full of some of our family's favorite camping products, and others that are on our wishlist. Right now, you can create a unique collection of own for a chance to win $5,000!

Ebay's Curate for a Cause Sweepstakes
As part of their dedication to helping the March of Dimes, a non-profit organization that helps mothers have full-term pregnancies, Ebay is running the Curate for a Cause Sweepstakes. How does it work? Simple. For each unique Ebay collection started with the "#ImBornTo" hashtag in the title, Ebay will donate $1 to the March of Dimes, up to $25,000. Plus, when you make a collection with the dedicated hashtag in the title, you are entered to win $5,000!

My #ImBornTo Camp Collection

To give you an idea of what a collection looks like and to share some awesome camping products with you, I wanted to share my #ImBornTo Camp collection. It is full of the products we already use and love, as well as a couple that are on our camping wishlist.

The Tent

We use a Bedrock 6 tent from The North Face. It is a bit on the higher end of price points when it comes to tents and it doesn't have a fancy cabin design, but it does feature a fill rain fly and keeps the whole family warm, dry and protected. Not to mention, you can set it up in 5 minutes flat! Here it is in the City of Rocks State Park where it held up to even the meanest wind.

Cooking

A quality camping stove is a must. One that is a multi-purpose grill and burner configuration is even better. It allows you to grill and cook a side dish or sauce in a pot at the same time. This Coleman version even has an auto start that means you don't have to burn your fingers every time you want to cook.
Cooking around the campfire can be just as fun as on the grill sometimes, especially when it comes to making s'mores. Long roasting sticks make cooking over the open fire easy, and there is no need to go foraging for branches.

Seating and Comfort

While camping is all about connecting with nature and having fun outdoors, it isn't a sin to do it with a certain degree of comfort. Some good quality folding chairs only take up a small amount of cargo space and make sure you have a comfy seat for sitting around the campfire or just relaxing during the day.

Good quality air mattresses go with me whenever I am tent camping. I am not sure I would have made it through our 50 day camping trip last summer if we had not had great air mattresses. The key is to find one that won't spring a leak the first time you use it, and that is easy to setup.

  6. Lot of great gear! We started camping last year and got a lot of nice stuff. After a couple of trips, there were a few more things we decided we needed, so I'm on the hunt for more great gear. Thanks for the ideas.

  11. Thanks for the suggestions as I know next to nothing about camping. I only did it a few times when I was younger but it was more of the civilized-type with bathrooms, showers, shops not too far away. We might take a look at that tent you use since it seems to be holding up so well through all your travels!
