Valentine's Day Rice Crispy Treats
11:11 AMIt seems like it was just New Year's Eve, but Valentine's is this Friday! I swear the older I get the faster time goes. If you're like me, you probably had grand ideas of awesome treats to make for the kids, but now that the time is quickly approaching, you need something quick but delicious. Right? Well, these Valentine's Day rice crispy treats are the perfect solution for a quick and yummy treat for the kids!
Ingredients:
4 tbsp Butter
6 cups Rice Krispies Cereal
10 oz Marshmallows
Red Food Coloring
2 cups Mini Marshmallows
1 cup Conversation Hearts
Instructions:
Step 1: In a medium to large saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
Step 2: Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
Step 3: Stir in enough food coloring to make the marshmallows very pink and remove from heat.
Step 4: Add Rice Crispies cereal and mini marshmallows and stir until cereal is well combined.
Step 5: Prepare a cookie sheet with sides by spraying with cooking spray or coating with butter.
Step 6: Butter a spoon or your hands or use wax paper to press the mixture into the pan evenly.
Step 7: Press conversation hearts evenly around the mixture.
Step 8: After cooling, use heart shape cookie cutters to cut out treats.

ReplyDeleteLove Rice Krispies treats! Just curious on the bag of large and then 2 cups of small, just to make them extra gooey or so that there are actually marshmallow pieces in the crispy treat? I've never seen them made this way before, that's why I'm asking!
