No Fry Buffalo Wings Recipe
11:11 PMIf you are anything like me, you're trying to cut back on the fat and calories in the new year. If you're anything like me, you really really love good delicious finger food too. So, how do you find a happy compromise and cut the fat while still getting to enjoy your favorite tailgating finger foods? Why, with recipes like this one for no fry buffalo wings of course! Ingredients:
2 1/2 lb Chicken Wings
1 tbsp Salt
1 cup Frank's Red Hot Sauce
1/2 cup melted Butter
1/4 Wishbone Italian Salad Dressing
Instructions:
Step 1: If not already done, cut apart wings and drumettes.
Step 2: Add salt to large pot of water and bring to a boil.
Step 3: Boil chicken in water for 9 minutes.
Step 4: Preheat oven to 450.
Step 5: Dry chicken with paper towels and place on a rack on a baking sheet.
Step 6: Bake in oven for 25 minutes.
Step 7: Turn each piece and bake an additional 15 minutes.
Step 8: Combine butter, hot sauce and dressing in a large bowl.
Step 9: Take wings from oven and place in sauce and toss to coat.
Step 10: Serve with celery and blue cheese or ranch dressing.

I coat mine in flour then bake and douse with hot sauce, but yours are even less calories.

ReplyDeleteVery interesting. I need to try that. I have boiled chicken breasts prior to placing them on the grill. Never would have thought about doing it with wings and baking them.
