It Snowed in Florida - Kind Of

The boys have never seen snow, they have never gotten to play in it, or throw snowballs at each other. That's why, when I learned about the Tallahassee Snow Festival on December 6th, I knew we had to head out. Entry was free and everyone was encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy to put under the tree for Florida Baptists Children's Home. When we arrived at the field, we found carriage rides, face painting, balloon makers, and hot cocoa. Oh, and of course, there was the 100,000 pounds of snow pumped onto the field. The boys had a blast playing in the "snow" and Santa even made an appearance to see what the boys and girls wanted for Christmas. It was a great time, and we look forward to doing it again next year!

WOW! what an awesome way to bring them snow! the faces on these boys are priceless!!
ReplyDeleteWe do snow days at school, but some how it isn't the same as waking up and looking out your window to see a blanket of snow LOL. I would love one day to take my kids up north to see snow and play in it.

ReplyDeleteHa ha, that's awesome for kids in the south :) The kids here in Texas had a blast with all the ice that we've had the last week, the boys on our street were go-karting around the cul-de-sac, slip sliding away. Me personally, I could do without it all, which is why I moved south, the joke's on me apparently, lol!

ReplyDeleteWhat a neat idea! We could sure use something like this in Las Vegas, where it very rarely ever snows, let alone enough to play in.
