Hurry, there’s just one week left!
Do you have a unique copper bathtub? A decorative piece of copper wall art? Or a fanciful lawn fountain made from brass or copper? If so, make sure to enter it today in the nationwide Copper Home Innovation Challenge (CHIC, for short). Launched by the Copper Development Association, the deadline for entries is October 15th, so don’t wait!
Copper comes with a wide array of finishes, making it easy to compliment any interior design with this unique metal. Fireplace mantels, distinctive counter tops, fixtures and sinks made of copper bring a classic look and warm feel to any kitchen, bath or living space.
While copper accents make a lovely addition to any home interior, its characteristics also make copper an ideal addition to any backyard or garden. Fire pits, fountains, bird feeders and planters are just some examples of copper furnishings that can truly bring your outdoor space to life. Did you know that copper is essential for plant growth? An inadequate amount of copper in any plant ‘diet’ can cause poor growth, delayed flowering, and plant sterility. Copper is essential to our diets, too, since it’s important for many enzyme systems throughout our bodies (including the ability to maintain a healthy heart!). Crazy, right?
If you want to show off the unique way you’re using copper décor in your home design, this challenge is a great way to do it! Just go to www.copperchic.org and fill out the short entry form. Good luck!

OH MY GOSH!!!! Just this very second, I realized that I have a copper tub which I have always used to hold ice an drinks for backyard parties. I can't believe I didn't think about that before.
ReplyDeleteNo copper around here that I'm aware of. My dad used to do metal working as a hobby though and there is lots of wrought iron decor ;)
