Decorate for Halloween with Starburst Candy Corn!
9:48 AMI participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Starburst. I received product samples to facilitate my review and promotional item as a thank you for participating.
I remember just last month I was saying how it was too early to think about decorating for Halloween. Now, I find myself scrambling to get ready for the holiday. I love DIY projects and really enjoy creating new Halloween decor pieces each year. So, when I was approached about creating one of Tori Spelling's unique crafts made with Starburst Candy Corn treats, I jumped on board! There are a wide range of DIY projects available on the Starburst Candy Corn Facebook page, but I decided to start with the Magnificent Mum Ball.
Materials:
Glue Gun
Glue Sticks
Styrofoam Balls (I used a smaller size than the original craft)
Orange Paint
Paintbrush
Starburst Candy Corn
Instructions:
I did this craft a bit different than the original, if you want to see how the original one was done, check out the Starburst Candy Corn Facebook page.
Step 1: Paint your Styrofoam ball with orange paint. You can use any other coordinating color paint or leave the ball white like in the original craft if you like.
Step 2: Let dry, and then start gluing the candy corn around the ball. The original craft was very color patterned and suggested gluing around in rows, but I like to be more random, so I just glued them every which way to create more of a star-like appearance.
Here is what the Magnificent Mum Ball looks like when Tori Spelling does it, along with some inspiration on how to incorporate it into your holiday decor.
Another one of the Starburst Candy Corn crafts I definitely plan on making is the BOO sign. I think it is adorable and would look great on a door or wall.

ReplyDeleteSUCH a cute and "crafty" idea!
ReplyDeleteThat Boo sign is great! I think I'd like to do that at Christmas with Merry or something if I could find some seasonal colors of candy corn.
ReplyDeleteThat is SO cute! I feel like my son would play with {and break} it immediately, but I want to make that!
ReplyDeleteThat is really cute!
ReplyDeleteThose are adorable! I'd be afraid of ants though.
ReplyDeleteA bouquet of these would be really cool.

ReplyDeleteIt's amazing that you can make something that pretty with candy corn!
ReplyDeleteI love those. They would be such a fun decoration for a Halloween dinner.
ReplyDeleteYour ball turned out great! I was afraid to make a food craft since my animals have lately been working together to grab whatever food they can. I didn't want the dog to get ahold of it! SO I made a dessert. Hopefully they're not mad at me!
ReplyDeleteWhat cute little crafts. The BOO sign is just too adorable.
ReplyDeleteSurprisingly Paula, the cats haven't messed with them at all. The boys did however dismantle it the other day, so I should probably have made a dessert too!
