They Grow Up So Fast! #CherishChildhood

8:30 AM

This post is brought to you in collaboration with Gymboree, all words, thoughts and opinions are my own.

Sometimes I swear that all I did was blink, and the boys instantly grew up. My oldest became a teenager this year, and my youngest will turn 8 next month. Where has the time gone? So, I made it my mission to cherish these years, these precious childhood years that I have left with the boys, and to make them as fun and carefree as possible. That was the one and only reason I took them on the 50 day camping trip this past summer, and why we will continue it for years to come. I want the chance to drink in their childish delight at discovering new things around them each day, of running in a field of wild flowers, spying a new creature crawling across the path, and being truly good and dirty while loving every minute of it! That's what being a child is all about isn't it?

Cherish those moments of unabandoned happiness!

Cherish those moments of new discovery!

Cherish the times they play happily together without a care in the world.

Cherish it all, because before you know it and way to soon, they'll be grown and have little ones of their own to cherish. You only get one childhood, and I have made a vow to make the boys' the best it can be. Gymboree wants to #CherishChildhood too. They want to celebrate and share the cherished moments of childhood. Check out the adorable video below.

If that isn't a good reminder to take time away from the hectic schedule of life and "Just Play" with our kids, I don't know what is. I don't know about you, but today, we will play!

  2. Sweet. The best baby gifts my son got were two blankets that came from Gymboree. He still loves them and he is in middle school now.
