42 Days and Counting!
10:31 AMOkay, so I know you all are likely going to get sick of hearing me talk about our summer road trip before it actually gets here, but I can't help it. I am so excited! If you have been wondering why I have been missing from the blog this week, this is why. I have been finalizing every last step of our 53 day journey, making reservations and ironing out details. I never knew how long it would take to plan a trip of this magnitude. Check out where we're going!

2. Bankhead National Forest and Sipsey Wilderness - Alabama
3. Blanchard Springs Caverns - Arkansas
4. Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge - Oklahoma

This sounds like such an adventure. I can't wait till my toddler is older so we can do something like this with him. It would be such a journey and once in a life time thing.

ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing plan! You all are going to have a blast! If you have some extra time (which is probably unlikely), Zion National Park is fairly near Bryce Canyon and is BEAUTIFUL! I wish we had spent some actual time there versus just driving through!

ReplyDeletePictures are beautiful...I haven't been to the Grand Canyon since I was just a kid..
ReplyDeleteTerriAnn, it was a close call between Bryce and Zion. In the end, there were a few things about Bryce that made it win out. I wish I could do it all, there were so many other places I had to cut from my list because there just wasn't time LOL.
ReplyDeleteRachel, just wait until your kiddos get a little bigger. You all will be camping fools then. :)

ReplyDeleteNot many days left. I go on holiday in 30 days so me and my family are also getting a little excited. Bring on some sun, relaxing times and family time.
ReplyDeleteOooh I wish we only had 30 days left Leon. Where are you all headed?
ReplyDeleteI am in complete awe over your itinerary.
ReplyDeleteI'm totally going to have to check out that state park in Texas when we move there - it looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIf this trip goes well, maybe you can do the East Coast trip next year! I'll cook you and the boys Lobsters here in Maine!
ReplyDeleteOh, what a great offer Beth! We may just take you up on that. As of right now, I would definitely consider taking another trip next year. If I do another surrogacy, I would definitely stick closer to home and do the East coast if not, we would probably head out to cover the northwest.
