Okay, so I know you all are likely going to get sick of hearing me talk about our summer road trip before it actually gets here, but I can't help it. I am so excited! If you have been wondering why I have been missing from the blog this week, this is why. I have been finalizing every last step of our 53 day journey, making reservations and ironing out details. I never knew how long it would take to plan a trip of this magnitude. Check out where we're going!

2. Bankhead National Forest and Sipsey Wilderness - Alabama

3. Blanchard Springs Caverns - Arkansas

4. Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge - Oklahoma

  6. What an amazing plan! You all are going to have a blast! If you have some extra time (which is probably unlikely), Zion National Park is fairly near Bryce Canyon and is BEAUTIFUL! I wish we had spent some actual time there versus just driving through!

  16. TerriAnn, it was a close call between Bryce and Zion. In the end, there were a few things about Bryce that made it win out. I wish I could do it all, there were so many other places I had to cut from my list because there just wasn't time LOL.

Rachel, just wait until your kiddos get a little bigger. You all will be camping fools then. :)

  29. If this trip goes well, maybe you can do the East Coast trip next year! I'll cook you and the boys Lobsters here in Maine!

  30. Oh, what a great offer Beth! We may just take you up on that. As of right now, I would definitely consider taking another trip next year. If I do another surrogacy, I would definitely stick closer to home and do the East coast if not, we would probably head out to cover the northwest.
