$1 DIY Cake Stand Tutorial

12:46 PM

I don't bake all that often, but on the rare occasion that I do and want to take something to a party or event, I find myself searching for the perfect stand to place by cake or other baked goods on. All the cake stands that they have in the stores now are so expensive and modern looking. They lack the whimsy of vintage items that I have elsewhere around my home. So, I figured it would be so much easier and a heck of a lot cheaper just to make my own. These DIY cake stands only cost $1 each to make and they are really different from anything anyone else will have.

Materials:

Super Glue or Gorilla Glue
Plates
Crystal glasses with a stem

Step 1:

Make sure your dishes are clean and completely dry.

Step 2:

Place a ring of Gorilla, craft or super glue around the top rim of each glass. Press the plate down firmly on top of it and make sure the plate is centered on top of the glass. Place something heavy on the plate until the glue has hardened.

It really is as simple as that. Just one real step to creating one-of-a-kind DIY cake stands!
