Countless Hours of Creativity and Fun with KRE-O TRANSFORMERS

10:30 AM

 My boys have a building block obsession. It started with the oldest who loved to receive all types of building block sets as presents and it soon overflowed to all the other boys as well. Although, my youngest just likes for his brothers to build him stuff and then he just plays with it. Of course, their Christmas lists were packed with requests for new sets. That's why I was thrilled to get the chance to review some KRE-O TRANSFORMERS sets this Christmas.

Most of you know what KRE-O TRANSFORMERS sets are by now and have seen them around. They are building block sets that are similar to others on the market, but different in a very unique way. They allow kids to create TRANSFORMERS in both their vehicle and robot forms all using the same blocks! They also come with KREON figures that feature the famous Autobots and Decepticons.

KRE-O TRANSFOMERS also come in a variety of skill levels. For instance, small sets like the Decepticon Ambush are perfect for younger builders ages 6 and up. While the Battle for Energon set allows kids to build two of the most iconic Transformers of all time, Optimus Prime and Megatron.

{Our Take}

We received the Destruction Site Devastator set which is the ultimate playset for children who love Transformers! This set can build 4 TRANSFORMERS in their construction vehicle form, construction robot form, or it can even build one gigantic Decepticon Robot Devastator.

As you can see, the sets come in a reusable box that even has a handle, so you don't have to lay out more money for a storage container when you are done building. They also come with the pieces divided into bags and for larger sets, they have different instruction manuals to teach you how to build each type of figure.

The boys were all able to join in and help build, but I decided to feature Jordan in this review. The reason, is because he was able to put together the smaller Street Showdown set that we received all by himself. This may not seem like a big deal considering he just turned 11, but you have to remember that he has dyslexia and can generally not do anything that has a lengthy instruction manual. That is how good these instructions are! He was able to build it without asking for help and that was a huge confidence boost for him.

Overall, I love how versatile the KRE-O TRANSFORMERS sets are. They come in a variety of sizes and price points, so whether you are looking for the coolest gift ever or a small stocking stuffer like the KREON Micro-Changers Mystery Bags that come with one KREON figure for $2.99, there is something to meet your needs. Your kids don't get bored building only one thing, because they can take that apart and build something new!
