Nominate a Nonprofit for Walmart's 12 Days of Giving

This post brought to you by Walmart. All opinions are 100% mine.
With the holidays just around the corner, it is time to start getting in the mood. What does that mean though? The true spirit of the holidays is supposed to be about giving, but too often we turn it into the importance of receiving instead. Walmart is taking a step to help others with their 12 Days of Giving though. During this campaign, they will donate a total of $1.5 million in grants to nonprofits across the country to help those in need.
{What is Walmart's 12 Days of Giving?}
It's just that, giving. Walmart will hand out $1.5 million in grants to nonprofits that are nominated by people just like you across the country. This money will go to help purchase basic items for those in need like food, diapers, cold weather clothing and so much more.
{How Can You Help?}
Helping Walmart give back to your community is simple. All you have to do is visit the Walmart Facebook page and fill out a simple form to nominate a nonprofit in your community that you would like to see receive some of that grant money. It literally takes a minute. I nominated our local homeless shelter. They are the only shelter here in the city for homeless individuals and without them, these people would have nowhere else to go. ReplyDeleteNice!
ReplyDeleteI ♥ this! I know the perfect organization to nominate.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great program. I've just started volunteering for a non-profit and I was shocked at the amount of time and money that goes into food box and gift preparation. The need far exceeds the ability. I'm glad that larger corporations are helping.
