Pack a Sandwich with a Punch - New Wonder Bread Smartwhite for Kids
2:00 PM
This post brought to you by Wonder bread. All opinions are 100% mine.
School has been in session for a few months now and we are finally getting into the swing of things in our house. Now that I am homeschooling Jordan, one of the things I really have to get used to is coming up with unique lunch ideas for him each day. Eating the same old peanut butter and jelly everyday can really get old. Luckily, I have developed a few combinations that have been winners with him, but there is one thing that doesn't change. The perfect sandwich starts with super soft and nutritional bread like the new Smartwhite for Kids from Wonder bread.
I got the chance to try a loaf of this bread out and while I must admit, I had previously passed it on the shelf for the store brand, I won't be doing that anymore. The boys love the taste and how super soft it is, and I love the fact that it is so much better for them.
{What We Love}

I thought I would share one of the recipes I have started making for Jordan. He really likes this and he can eat the leftover banana for an extra dose of fruit too.
Ingredients:
Banana
Smartwhite for Kids bread
Smooth Peanut Butter
Cinnamon
Step 1:
Spread peanut butter on two slices of Smartwhite for Kids bread.
Step 2:
Slice some banana thinly and lay across one slice of the bread.
Step 3:
Top with a little bit of sprinkled cinnamon and place the other slice of bread on top. Serve!

{What We Love}
- Ultra soft and squishy (the kid's words, not mine.)
- Only 50 calories per slice! That is almost half of what some other brands have.
- Has the same amount of fiber per serving as 100% whole wheat bread.
- Has the same amount of calcium as an 8-ounce glass of milk. Great for those who can't drink milk.
- No high fructose corn syrup!
- Made by Wonder bread, a company in business for over 90 years.
- The price! At my local Pulix, this bread was only $2.19, making it pretty moderately priced and only a little more than the cheap store brand.

Love this! My kids have suddenly decided they won't eat brown bread, and I refuse to buy white bread...I guess this is a good way to meet in the middle.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter only likes white bread, that's it, nothing else. I bet she would like this bread.
ReplyDeleteWe use white bread for French toast & grilled cheese, so this looks perfect.

ReplyDeleteI haven't had white bread in years. We only use wheat in our home.
ReplyDeleteMy kids don't like peanut butter, but maybe I'll put a couple of bananas on their sandwich to see if they'll eat it.
