Red, White and Blue Pancake Recipe
6:00 AMYesterday morning I woke up and had a great idea. What if I made the boys colored pancakes? Then I realized it was flag day and thought it would be perfect to make red, white and blue pancakes. They turned out yummy or so the kids said and they would be perfect for the upcoming Fourth of July holiday too!
Materials:
- Pancake mix
- Red and blue food coloring
- Whipped cream
Step 1:
Prepare the pancake mix as usual and pour an equal amount into two large measuring cups.
Step 2:
Place a good amount of blue food coloring in one container and mix well and red food coloring in the other.
Step 3:
Cook the pancakes as you normally would, let cool for a few minutes and then top with whipped cream. It would be prettier if you had the canned whipped cream, but ours was in a tub so I did my best to make it look good.

They are so pretty. I have never made colored pancakes, but will for the kiddos. They'd love them!
