New Arm & Hammer Laundry Detergent for Sensitive Skin
6:17 AMBeing the mom of a six year old with sensitive skin issues, it can sometimes be difficult to know what products to use around the home. For instance, Jase has a reaction to every sunscreen known to man. I have yet to find one he can use. The same goes for some products that contain harsh chemicals, like laundry detergents. We were recently given the opportunity to try out the new Arm & Hammer Sensitive Skin Plus Skin-Friendly Fresh Scent Laundry detergent and I am happy to report their were no break outs or bumps to be found!
Generally when I would do laundry, I would have to do Jase's clothes in a scent free sensitive skin detergent from another brand, and ours separately. Why? Simple, because I like my clothes to smell nice so I don't want the scent free variety and the other scented detergents tend to bother his skin after awhile. So, when we found out that the new Arm & Hammer dye-free Sensitive Skin detergent not only didn't make him bust out in bumps, but smelled great too, it was great. Now I don't have to do two separate loads of laundry to clean the same amount of clothes and everyone can enjoy the fresh scent. I also love that it is a neutral scent and not too girly or heavy.
Does it clean well? You bet it does. I honestly did not notice a difference between the Arm and Hammer detergent and the other name brand that we usually use. The whites were just as white and the colors just as bright. The stains were lifted easily and even the ketchup that Jase spilled all down the front of his white shirt one day at lunch came out without a problem.
If you have family members with sensitive skin, you know what a hassle it can be to find a detergent that not only works to get out tough stains, but that will not cause a reaction. I would definitely recommend the Arm & Hammer Sensitive Skin Plus Skin-Friendly Fresh Scent Laundry detergent as a solution the whole family can enjoy. My daughter is allergic to every sunscreen as well. I found one that works for her made by Alba Organics. I get the 45 spf for kids in the purple package. She gets hives from anything else. You can find it at the health food store :)
ReplyDeleteI'll have to try this. I use Tide now but it's so hard to find the one for sensitive skin in my area. I'm going to check for this one. It seems the older I get the more sensitive my skin becomes.
ReplyDeleteLove Arm & Hammer!
