Strawberry Whipped Cream Cake Recipe
7:00 AM
I am not the biggest fan of cooking. If you have been around my blog for any length of time you know that. However, I am a fairly decent cook and am always on the lookout for simple recipes that are easy to make and tasty too. Years ago I had a cake similar to this one at an picnic and I decided to try my hand at recreating it for our BBQ this weekend. It really is easy and tastes oh so good.
Ingredients:
Fresh sliced strawberries
White boxed cake mix
Whipped cream topping. I used the extra creamy, but you can use the light or fat free if you want.
Instructions:
Step 1. Prepare the cake mix as you normally would in two 9" cake pans and let cool.
Step 2. Place one layer of cake on a serving plate and apply a layer of whipped cream on top of it, followed by a layer of sliced strawberries.
Step 3. Cover the layer of strawberries with another layer of whipped cream and then top with the second layer of cake.
Step 4. Ice the entire cake with a layer of whipped cream and top with some fresh strawberries for decoration.
