Hilton Sandestin Beach Resort - Perfect for Families #HiltonSandestinMoms

7:00 AM

Yesterday I let you know a bit about the amazing Hilton Sandestin Golf Resort and Spa, showed you the large rooms, breathtaking views and shared about their kids' programs. Today I had a chance to take advantage of many of the family friendly amenities they have and had a great time. It has been a long time since I went somewhere I truly did not want to leave. Many places have made me want to come again, but few have made me never want to go home again, The Hilton Sandestin Resort is one however. This stay has been so relaxing and full of fun, I can't imagine returned to the real world tomorrow!

Dining

There are five main dining options at the Hilton Resort as well as a bar on the beach and a coffee shop. For a quick bite by the beach, you can stop by PickNix for options like personal Pizza Hut pizzas, chicken strips, ice cream or popcorn. They also have free refills on drinks until 5pm each day, which is a great bargain when you are out in the sun and need to stay hydrated.

Sandcastles inside the resort has a tasty breakfast buffet with omelets to order, a hot bar, fruit, cereal and delicious pastries. They serve food throughout the day as well, but I highly recommend the breakfast buffet.

Seagars' is the place to go when you want to treat yourself. With over 600 bottles of wine on hand, it is the perfect place for a delicious steak or creative new seafood dishes. The feel here really is of an old style luxury lounge and transports you back in time. Did I mention they are a four diamond restaurant? Check out the tender steak we had for dinner!

Want a sit down meal by the pool? Barefoot's has reasonably priced dishes that include fish tacos and some of the best fried gulf shrimp I have ever had. Enjoy a drink from the bar and sip your cares away while enjoying the great view.

In addition to the places listed above there is also the Hadashi Sushi Bar and a full menu of room service options that can be ordered day or night.

Amenities

Catering to the kiddos is one way to get on this mamas good side!

The Hilton Sandestin Beach Resort has three pools. There are two outside in the deck area, one inside and even a kiddie pool as well. I loved the no diving sign in the kiddie pool, because my boys would definitely be the ones to try and dive into 1ft. of water. There are umbrella and chair setups you can rent for the day and also four cabanas if you want to relax in comfort.

Inside, there are multiple conference rooms, making this a great choice for businesses and family gatherings alike. There is a movie theater that is perfect for presentations, but that is also used by the kids' program on rainy days to show movies for the children.

A game room gives children another entertainment option and has the normal arcade style games. Jase and I enjoyed some time here and he totally beat me at air hockey.

A beach hut is available down by the water and rentals of equipment like kayaks, paddle boards and more are available for a nominal fee. You can also arrange for a beach chair and umbrella setup down by the water.

Jase playing on the beach with his new best friend Adam.

Couldn't you just stare at this view all day?

Want to explore the surrounding area? Bike rentals are available and shuttles are also provided that take guests over to a variety of shopping, dining and recreation areas including a 9,000 square foot playground. There are award winning golf courses, tennis courts and a myriad of other recreational options in the immediate area too.

Serenity by the Sea Spa

One of the highlights of my visit to the Hilton Sandestin Beach Resort was my stop by the Serenity Spa. I had the opportunity to experience my first facial and it was pure heaven. From the moment you walk in the door of the spa on the lower level, you cannot help but feel relaxed. There is a dry sauna, steam room, juice bar, whirlpool and fitness center that you can utilize before or after your treatment. They have a full list of services available and once you are there, I promise you will never want to leave.

The thing I love most about the Hilton Sandestin Resort is that it is an entire family friendly vacation all in itself. There is no need to get in your car again once you arrive. You don't have to travel from attraction to attraction, it is all included in this one place. There are endless activities in the immediate area, the spa, pools, and beach make it an absolute perfect family destination for those looking to relax. Need an adrenaline rush? There are thrilling activities like zip lining and para sailing nearby for danger seekers too. Check out the great rates and great packages available on the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort and Spa website.

Perfect ending to an amazing experience. S'mores by the fire pit!
