Dialect Vlog Hop and I Say The Word Hiney!
11:26 PMLet me start by saying that there is a reason you have never seen my face on camera here on Life With 4 Boys before. I do not have a camera friendly face or presence. With my first blog birthday coming up next month though, I am trying to break out of my shell. So, I decided to join in on the Dialect Vlog hop that is going on over at MamaDweeb.com. So, without further ado, here is my video. You may now commence with the laughter! By the way, I am from North Florida and have lived in Florida my whole life.
If you want to join in on this fun Vlog hop, the list of words and questions are below. You can also link up over at Annie's blog so everyone can go laugh at your post too.
The Words/Questions
Pillow, Exhausted, Governor, Entrepreneurial, Calm, Milwaukee Wisconsin, Bagel, ambulance, aqua, femoral, address, rural, hypocrisy
What do you call a store where you buy alcohol?
What do you call it when you blow on a baby’s tummy and make them laugh?
What do you call batting your eyelashes on someone’s cheek?
What is another way of saying, “to deceive,” or “swindle?”
What is a funny way to say someone is not smart? (one fry short of a happy meal?)
Another name for butt?
What do you call it when you drive through mud. Lots of it, often fast and pray you don’t get stuck?

Way to go on your first vlog! You were great :) I've yet to "go there." As another Floridian, I'm not going to make fun of you - you talk perfectly!
ReplyDeleteNo way! I'm not going to make fun of you! You are SO cute!! Some of your words sound like a little hint of a southern accent, am I right?!
ReplyDeleteYou ladies are so sweet! Yes Cheryl, there is a southern accent in there, but I manage to keep it in check most of the time. Except for when I am mad. Matt likes to make me mad on purpose sometimes so he can hear it.
ReplyDeleteYou did awesome! I couldn't say "Entrepreneurial" to save my life!!!
ReplyDeleteI have not heard the brightest crayon in the box in years:) I didnt pick up the southern accent though but Im used to the thick Georgia accent. You did great.
ReplyDeleteThat Entrepre.....word really tripped everyone up! I am not sure I said it correctly either though.
ReplyDeleteSOOO glad you did this! You are too cute Kathleen. Isn't Rural fun to say? I live out in a rural area and hate saying that word.
I swear I am the only one that calls a Raspberry a Zerbert. hehehe
Crayon in the box! That's a good one. I have heard that.
And yes, mudding gives you a super dirty car. I have not done it either.
And no one is making fun of you! Congrats on posting this, I know it took courage. I hope you had fun and realized that you are lovely on camera. You didn't stutter or stammer, you did great!
There are lots of mudders around here too, always see them driving around and I wonder how in the world they get out of those cars, looks like they're sealed in a mud shell! Great vlog!
ReplyDeleteI think you were wonderful! And yes - you have a camera friendly face. You are adorable. Nervous Blinking had me laughing! You need to keep vlogging. Oh and btw - I totally your "life Twin" (the person in life who looks just like you) Her name is Annie - and she lives in MN - and she too is adorable! Thanks for sharing! I am a new follower! :)
ReplyDeleteYou definitely have a beautiful face for camera!
ReplyDeleteYou did a terrific job.... so glad you joined.
I hope you keep vlogging now, you do wonderful.
I laughed when you called the butt a hiney, because that's what I call it, too.
Have a great weekend!!
Seriously, you are WAY too cute!
ReplyDeleteI cannot say Entrepreneurial either. lol
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the kind words ladies. This has been really fun!
ReplyDeleteEmily, I have actually heard this a lot. One couple even asked if they could take my picture in a restaurant once because someone in their family looked exactly like me lol.
I can't even tell you're from Florida. We pretty much use the same words. The only difference is the one about someone who's not so smart. I think that varies from house to house though.
