5 Adorable Summer Hairstyle Tutorials for Short Hair
10:01 AMHere in Florida it may be spring, but it sure as heck feels a lot like summer! With weather reaching into the mid 90's, I have been stalking the web for some cute and easy summer hairstyles that will work with my relatively short shoulder length hair. My hair is so thick that when the humidity starts, I have to get it off my neck. These five hairstyle tutorials are easy to follow and can help you get some of the most adorable summer looks!
Simple Sidetie Hairstyle
Photo from the eBeautyBlog tutorial.
This is one of my favorite hairstyles right now and can also be done straight down the back of your head instead of off to the side. It looks a lot like a french braid and takes only a few minutes to execute. You can find the entire tutorial on the E Beauty Blog.
Messy Side Bun
This is another simple hairstyle that can be done in just minutes, but it looks so cute! It requires a few extra bobby pins with shorter hair, but it will work. The tutorial I like best is at MakeupandBeauty.com.
Runway Inspired Updo
This is a really easy and adorable short hairstyle. I have not tried it yet, but I plan on doing it as soon as I can get to the store and buy a headband.
Several Messy Bun Inspired Updos
This video has a great mix of messy bun inspired updo tutorials for short hair. I have not been brave enough to try the double bun yet, but the others work really well.
Short Hair French Twist
I love this hairstyle. As a child I always thought it was the prettiest thing. Some of my bottom layers are still a tad too short to execute this properly, but by summer I should be good to go.

ReplyDeleteI love watching hair videos - I really need to be more creative :)
ReplyDeleteThat is why I started watching them Jennifer lol! It was always down and straightened or half up in a regular pony. Now I have tons of cute options!

I love a good messy bun!
ReplyDeleteI should try to do more with my hair. I either straighten it, or wear a pony.
ReplyDeletehow are any of these for short hair?
ReplyDeleteThe girls in the videos demonstrating the third and fifth hairstyles clearly both have shorter hair. The others work well with short hair too. My hair is just above my shoulders and is even shorter in the back underneath and each of these work on my hair. That is how I gauged that they worked for short hair.
ReplyDeleteMessy bun is my fave. Hands down.
ReplyDeleteThe halo braid is sooo perfect. It's pretty with the oversized scarf and her makeup.
