My First Ever Fashion Haul - What Do You Think?
8:46 PM
Okay, I am not a shopper, at least not for myself. I am also the farthest thing you could get from being a girly girl. I am trying though and am making an effort to wear something besides loungewear everyday, even though I work from home. I rarely go shopping for myself and I claimed I wasn't going to buy anything until I reached my ideal goal, but a severe lack of anything that fit and the addition of some birthday money had me headed to the store this past weekend.
I love to buy clothes for the boys and am at The Children's Place at least once a month getting them stuff, but when it comes to shopping for me, I am usually clueless. I did some research though and picked out a few of the fall trends that I thought I would love and went with them. P.S., if you have not seen the Charmed Valerie blog, you should really stop by. She is super cute and has great fashion tips!
Anyway, I went to Plato's Closet, which is a store that accepts slightly used designer and name brand clothes from the hoardes of college students running around our city and sells the at super affordable prices. I scored all of the stuff I am about to show you for under $150 and that would have bought me maybe 3-4 things at a cheaper retail store, so I am a happy camper! Yes, my head is cut off in the photos below because my hair and face were not cooperating.

Top Shirt: Charlotte Russe
Bottom: Army Green Shirt by Forever 21
Jeans: Limited Edition Distressed Gap Jeans
Shoes: Delia's Flats
Sweater: Forever 21
Shirt: American Outfitters
Jeans: Skinny Jeans by True Freedom
Boots: Faded Glory bought at Walmart. The most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn!
Sweater: by Pretty Good
Shirt: Vera Wang
Jeans: Michael Kors
Same outfit as above, minus the sweater and added a jacket from Old Navy.
Shirt: Vera Wang
Vest: Old Navy (I already had this)
Skirt: Old Navy
Leggings from Target
Excuse the dirty mirror. I had to take this pic myself LOL.
Sweater: Kenneth Cole Reaction
Black Belt
Leggings from Target
Close Up of all the shoes I bought.
Sandals: Forever 21
Black Boots: Fioni
Tan Boots: Fadded Glory
Flats: Delia's
Again, I know it isn't the most fashion forward stuff ever, but for me, some of the items were a big leap. I am especially learing of a lot of things because my weight isn't were I want it just yet. I spent under $150 though for everything pictured minus the Old Navy vest I already had. I think that was pretty good and it is way more than I have ever spent on myself before!
So what is the verdict people?

Love it! I hate to shop. Probably b/c I have no sense of style!
