We Had Thankgiving Dinner. How About You?

10:28 PM

Yeah, so my mom went kind of loopy this weekend and invited us over on Saturday for, yep you guessed it, Thanksgiving dinner. I mean the turkey, homemade stuffing, mashed potatoes, rutabagas, green beans, sweet potato casserole, homemade rolls, cranberry salad, pumpkin pie, the works!!! Yes, we are well aware that it is only September, but my mom said she just felt like doing it and who am I to turn away an amazing meal?

So, we packed up on Saturday and drove out to my mom's for some fun and food. The boys had a blast and we stuffed ourselves silly. Never mind that I will do it all again in about two months. Maybe by then I will have room for more LOL. Mom, if you read this, I love you dearly and you as always are the greatest cook and mother a girl could ever have!

The rest of the weekend we just straightened up and lazed around. The boys had some fun in the water outside and we all watched Camp Rock 2 a billion times since the replayed it all weekend long.

What did everyone else do? Anyone else have a crazy wacky Thanksgiving dinner in September? Share your Labor Day weekend festivities with me!

  4. I'm not sure why, but we *never* have that kind of dinner other than *on* Thanksgiving. It's like some unspoken law around here that you can't eat turkey unless it's four weeks before Christmas.

  5. Whenever I find turkey on sale, I buy it, doesn't matter what time of year it is, turkey is that kind of meal that can totally lift me up! Plus, if you want, come celebrate Thanksgiving (Early for you...)in the right month- October! ;)
