Mommy!!! Don't Eat Mr. Crabs!!

10:35 AM

Those are the words that I heard escape my 4-year old's mouth as I was preparing to eat my first ever attempt at cooking lobster tails. Never mind that lobsters and crabs are two entirely different creatures and that I didn't even have the whole lobster, only its tail. To Jase, that tail was a part of his beloved Mr. Crabs and I was about to eat him!

So, what did I do since I am such a caring and thoughtful mom? I tore off a piece of that delectable tail popped it in my mouth and explained that it was a cousin and not the big Crabs himself. You know what? That answer was enough for my little one and he sat down and let me enjoy the rest of my meal in peace. I think he may have become a little too attached to the characters on Spongebob!

Here is a photo of my first attempt at cooking a lobster tail. I even butterflied it LOL. Pretty fancy for someone who hates to cook.

  3. It doesn't look half as good as your delicious concoctions Lisa, but it was pretty yummy.

The cousin was good Hanan! I think I may have broiled him a tad bit too long so that is something to keep in mind for next time. LOL

  4. When I saw your title, I was thinking exactly the same thing! It's his evil cousin, not the real Mr Krabs! We give up so much for our lil' ones - privacy, freedom, our tv's - but, no - not the seafood! Way to go, Kathleen - handled like a pro!
