Ocean Water Kid's Cocktail Recipe

8:00 AM

Kids love fun food and drink recipes. During the summer when I have more time to try out creative new treats with the boys, we love to come up with new mixtures to try. This time, it is a fun copycat recipe for Sonic's Ocean Water drink. Check out the recipe below and bring some fun to the table this summer.

Ingredients:

3 tbsp Water
3 tbsp Sugar
1 tsp Coconut Extract
4 drop Blue Food Coloring
24 oz Sprite
Ice

Directions:

Step 1: Combine water and sugar in microwavable bowl.

Step 2: Microwave for 45 seconds and stir to create a simple syrup.

Step 3: Allow to cool, then add food coloring and coconut extract.

Step 4: Mix well.

Step 5: Add syrup to cold Sprite and serve over ice.

  1. What kind of syrup did you used for this receipe? It must be something like "Curacao", but I don't know if that's proper for kids.

    1. Monique, of course no alcohol was used to create a kid-friendly recipe. There is no syrup used in this recipe. The ingredients are clearly listed above, and the coloring comes from the blue food coloring used in the recipe.
