It is less than a week until Christmas. It is important to cram in as much holiday fun as you can before the holiday season slips away. Since most kids are on school break by now, that leaves a lot of moms looking for fun holiday-themed craft projects to do to keep the kids entertained. These easy DIY Snowmen ornaments are not only adorable, but easy to make too. They would make great gift ideas for kids to make for family too!

Materials:

1 Cup Flour
1 Cup Salt
2/3 Cup Warm Water
Non Toxic Paints & Brushes
Parchment Paper
Rolling Pin
Cookie Sheet

Instructions:

Step 1: Combine the flour, salt and water in a bowl, mixing until a soft dough forms. You may need to add a little more water or flour to get the correct consistency

Step 2: Roll the dough out onto a floured surface until about 3/4 inch thick.

Step 3: Cut out circles using a round cookie cutter ( you could also use a cup or freehand it!) (refer to picture) NOTE* Peel away the trimmings, use these to make triangles for the nose Lightly press down on the circles in the middle to create a raised edge around the circles (refer to picture)

Step 4: Place a triangle on the circle and press down just enough that it will stick (refer to picture)

Step 5: Carefully put the snowmen on a cookie sheet and bake on 250 for 1 hour

Step 6: Allow the ornaments to cool completely before painting Paint as desired, string to hang ! Have the kids help with this one!
