Why Didn't These Products Exist When I Had Babies?10:50 AM
I love my children and I wouldn't go back and change the timing of when I had them, but looking at the baby-rearing products that are available now, I feel almost cheated. I mean, do you know how much easier my life as a new mom would have been with one of those handy dandy video baby monitors. Raise your hand if you were like me and didn't have one of those video monitors, so you just ran back and forth to your baby's room to make sure they were still breathing a million times during that first week home?
Baby carrying slings are another invention that didn't seem to exist when my boys were babies. I did a bit of baby-wearing, but it wasn't really a "thing" then, and the carriers that did exist were so bulky and uncomfortable for both mom and baby, that you couldn't use them for long.
What about jogging strollers. I would like to think that I wouldn't still be carrying around extra baby weight almost 9 years after my youngest was born if jogging strollers had been prevelant or at least semi-affordable when my boys were babies. Instead, we had huge monstrosities that threatened to pitch both you and baby onto the ground every time you went over a crack in the sidewalk.
Perhaps the most important product I wish they had had when my boys were babies is Non-GMO baby formula. It would have been awesome to have the choice of formulas with or without GMO's back then when I was making the decision of what to feed my youngest two boys who were bottle fed.
More and more parents are taking an interest in what is in their baby's food. Similac realizes that many parents are taking a vested interest in feeding their baby a Non-GMO diet. They are the first leading infant formula manufacturer to offer a Non-GMO formula option to its customers. Don't worry, it is the same formula you have been using for years, but they are now sourcing ingredients from Non-GMO partners.
Non-GMO Similac Advance is now available in retailers nationwide, for a healthier feeding option for those who want to eliminate GMO's from their baby's diet. Regular Similac Advance formula will also continue to be sold for those who prefer not to switch to a Non-GMO formula.
Similac partnered with bloggers such as me for its new product launch for Similac Advance Non-GMO. As part of this program, I received compensation for my time.
