Chef Salad in a Jar #Recipe

10:58 AM

The kids head back to school soon across the country and summer is coming to an end, but the summer weather will continue for many months to come here in Florida. Because of this, I always look for light meals or snacks that can be served cold, and don't require slaving away in a hot kitchen. This chef salad in a jar is not only cute, but it is the perfect bite of freshness on a hot day.

1/2 head Iceberg lettuce chopped 3/4 cup Shredded Carrots 4 Whole Mushrooms sliced 1 Hard Boiled Egg siced 1/4 Cucumber sliced 8 Cherry/Grape Tomatoes 1/4 Red Onion chopped 1/2 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese 1/4 cup Diced Ham 8 tbsp Salad Dressing Directions

Layer Ingredients in Jar as follows:
Salad Dressing Mushrooms Tomatoes Cucumbers Red Onion Carrots Ham Cheese Lettuce Egg

Refrigerate for up to 5 days.

  6. What a fun idea! So smart to add the dressing at the bottom so it doesn't make the lettuce soggy.
