Soft Scrub Total Bath and Bowl Cleaner Review8:39 AM
A while ago, I was given the opportunity to try out the new Soft Scrub Total Bath and Bowl Cleaner. I was given a free product coupon and purchased my 25.4 fl oz. bottle from Publix for $3.99. There is also a kitchen version of this new Soft Scrub Total formula as well. The product comes in a Fresh Scent variety and sports a bottle with a unique curved handle design that is supposed to aid in spraying those hard to reach areas.
First, I will discuss what I like about this product. I do like the curved handle design of the new bottle, and the built in finger grips make it extremely easy to hold onto while cleaning. In addition, the claims that the bottle can spray upside down are true, making this product unique in that respect and quite handy as well.
The cleaning power of the spray itself is wonderful. If you have ever used a Soft Scrub product, then you likely know that they more than get the job done and this new bath and bowl cleaner is no different. I am also fond of the fact that I could use just one cleaner for the whole bathroom and did not need a separate one for the sink, mirror, toilet and tub. The bottle is recyclable, which is also a plus for me as I am passionate about recycling.
Now, on to what I did not care for. The Soft Scrub Total cleaners sport a foam option. When the screen on the front of the nozzle is open, the product will spray a normal cleaner. However, when the screen is shut, a thick foam will come out. I am not a fan of the foam. In my opinion, it is too thick and requires a lot of rinsing and wiping, without giving any additional cleaning benefits. This is not a big deal though, as you are free to leave the screen open and just use the good quality spray instead.
The only other thing that I did not particularly care for with this product was the scent. While not as strong and unappealing as other cleaners, it was not the best smelling cleaner I have ever used either. This is a matter of opinion though and it is not something that would keep me from using this cleaner in the future.
Overall, my opinion of the Soft Scrub Total Bath and Bowl product is favorable and I do continue to use it in my home. I would not hesitate to recommend this product to anyone, but would caution you to be careful when spraying the foam and only use a single spray at a time until you decide if it is best for you. Currently, you can go here to get a $1 off coupon for any Soft Scrub Total product if it is something you wish to try.
